HP ALM Explorer Add-in
The HP ALM Explorer Add-in enables you to
use HP ALM without using a Web browser, such as
Microsoft Internet Explorer. This is useful if you are unable
to download ActiveX controls, or if your browser restricts the use of
ActiveX components. The only components that are downloaded when you use
HP ALM Explorer are HP ALM components.
Installation and Usage Instructions:
- Prerequisites: To install this add-in,
you must log in with administrator privileges.
- Uninstall any previous versions of the
HP ALM Explorer 11.00. To uninstall, choose Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and follow the instructions on your screen.
Notes: There is no need to uninstall versions of Quality Center Explorer 10.00 or earlier. You can run Quality Center Explorer for Quality Center 10.00. Only versions of HP ALM Explorer that were installed with the previously-released .exe file need to be uninstalled.
- Click the appropriate Download Add-in to download and install this add-in
on your HP ALM client machine.
Alternatively, for HP ALM Explorer version 11.00 build 5761 and later, open a Microsoft Windows command prompt window and type msiexec to silently install, upgrade, or uninstall this add-in
on your HP ALM client machine.
- To open HP ALM Explorer, choose Start
> HP ALM Explorer 11
> HP-ALM-Explorer 11.
- In the Address box, type your
HP ALM URL
(http://<ALM 11.00 Platform server name>/<virtual
directory name>) and click the Go
